From the moment you enter MHMC you will be welcomed and looked after. With modern facilities, the latest technology and highly qualified medical, surgical, nursing and non-medical staff, we are one of the best-equipped private hospitals in the area.
Our commitment to your care is second to none. Our vision since the inception has been to achieve the highest standards of excellence in every service we offer, serving the people of New Jersey and beyond.
Our infrastructure has been under construction since day one. You see renovations, or new construction on every floor. MHMC has invested heavily into the physical plant. Most departments have had a "facelift" by now. A brand new pharmacy and registration area were created in the lobby area. Our parking lot is being modernized.
Like a fine restaurant, Ala Carte dining is available to satisfy the palate of every patient. The hotel-like private rooms overlook the meadowlands and the New York skyline. Our patients will view the amazing sunsets, which will become an important part of the healing experience at Meadowlands Hospital. Each facet of the physical plant is being enhanced as the organization grows into the true gem that it really is.
The investments in the new Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system will not just make Meadowlands Hospital a more efficient facility, but will improve quality and patient safety as well. Our health care professionals will have access to decision support, including the very latest medical literature and evidence-based best practice guidelines. This is very important to patients. Evidence-based medicine is treatment plans, which have been proven to have the best outcomes. Patients at MHMC will only have appropriate tests and treatments.
Our new medical technologies and treatments will significantly increase the quality of the patient services. We are making preparations for the volume of patients to skyrocket after all the projects and renovations are completed. We will be well prepared and ready.

Equipment
We have budgeted more than $20 million to outfit a new Interventional Radiology Suite with the most modern imaging bi-plane system. We are proud to introduce both a 3.0 Tesla MRI plus a 1.2 Tesla Open MRI – all new to MHMC. Additionally, MHMC has acquired a state-of-the-art nuclear camera and digital mammography system, along with two mobile X-Ray units.

Meadowlands Hospital is proud to announce that we partnered with the International Brain Research Foundation, a New Jersey based research company, which develops cutting-edge successful treatment plans for stroke, coma, significant brain injury, Alzheimer disease, and Autism.
Because of this partnership, a new machine is coming to the Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center, which will rapidly boost the medical center’s prominence in the world of neurological sciences.
The machine, known as the magnetoencephalograph (MEG), is the most advanced testing tool of brain function in the world. Its impact on MHMC will likely be felt in clinical and research settings in the fields of neurology, neurosurgery and psychiatry. The MEG – a non-invasive neurophysiological technique measuring magnetic fields generated by the brain’s neuronal activity – is a drastic improvement over the EEG, PET and SPECT, which were the previous standards for testing brain function. The MEG can detect brain activity in much greater detail and with much more accuracy than previous testing methods.
MHMC will be one of about 10 sites around the country to have a MEG machine. This is the best thing that has happened to neurosciences in a long time. The clinical uses of MEG are many. Not all of them are explored yet making the research possibilities endless.
The state-of-the-art equipment will not only upgrade the current diagnostic imaging capabilities and quality, but will also enable the hospital to expand its clinical services. For example, a newly designed Interventional Radiology department will be located inside the existing operating suite. This will allow the hospital to perform arterial interventions, including diagnostic arteriography, cardiac cauterizations and angioplasty, as well as embolizations for acute bleeding, strokes symptomatic uterine fibroids, spinal compression fractures, venous stenoses or nephrostomy, nephroureteral tubes, biopsies, and joint injections all under image guidance. A full range of healthcare services including orthopedic, neurosurgery, cardiology, interventional radiology, podiatry, gastroenterology, pediatrics, seven operating rooms and a vast array of imaging and diagnostic services are available to our patients 24/7.
