Our Services and Procedures
Not every colonoscopy is equal. Learn how to prepare and why do you need one:
Water Immersion Colonoscopy – It is an alternative colonoscopy technique that increases the success rate of minimal sedation. Use of this technique leads to a decrease in discomfort; time to reach the cecum, and the amount of sedatives and analgesics used without compromising patient satisfaction.
Upper Endoscopy – This allows your doctor examine the lining of the upper part of your gastrointestinal tract, which includes the esophagus, stomach and duodenum.
Colon Cancer Screening – Early detection is a key to fighting colon and rectal cancers. Screening should begin at age 50. However, African-Americans should be screened for colorectal cancer beginning at age 45.
Colon Polypectomy – This is removal of one or more polyps from the inside lining of the colon. A polyp
is a mass of tissue that has the potential to develop into cancer. Most polyps can be removed during a colonoscopy.
Video Capsule Endoscopy – This is patient-friendly tool for visualization of the entire small bowel and is the standard of care for detecting small bowel abnormalities.
PillCam ESO – A second-generation, PillCam ESO is a high performance capsule with advanced optics and Automatic Light Control for optimal image quality and illumination.
